Not exactly a welding project, but I did make these tongs on the brake drum forge that I welded. I was following the instructions in this YouTube video from Swallow Forge:
It's my first blacksmithing project and I'm pleased they look pretty much like the tongs in the video. They're not exactly comfy to use, but they work.
