sip 50L blowing out

hi there i have a old green sip 50l compresor its got a valve on it thats allways leakd a bit but i thorght the other day i would take it off and and cleen it and oil it up a bit but its stop leaking at about 50psi but wen it gets to about 100sh psi it starts to leak a bit then just be for it gets to 150psi it blow out leting loads of air out plus it mack you **** you sellf lol

its just a blow out valve where can i get a new one ??

It may be adjustable. Also check the pressure gauge, if it's reading low the valve may be working correctly.

Does it have a pressure stamped on it somewhere?

i will pull it off 2moro and take some pics dont think it can be adjusted it was a pain in the ass to get off tho so mite have scrached any writing that was on it all so wen i was trying to get it off the pressure gauge it stoped working so i am gessing the psi atm lol

but it dose not mater as i am going to put the compresor in a box soon to keep nose down
i have a filter that has a psi gauge on it so will be able to read it off that

150PSI seems high for a single-stage compressor. Most go to 115-125PSI working pressure. 150 sounds right for a pressure relief valve.

They should be available anywhere that sells compressors or ebay.

My SIP goes to 150 psi, you can get new valves from compressor suppliers, I got some bits from one near us in Alfreton. You can alter the cut off switch so the pressure doesn't get that high it has screws to regulate when it cuts out and back in again in the black box with the red button to switch on and off. When you box it in make sure it has ventilation or it will get very hot.

yer im going to put 4 big fans in 2 from the botem and 2 out from the top

As Shenion mentioned, it's called a pressure relief valve.

been looking at some. my compressor fills up 2 150psi so would it be beast to get a blow out valve at 165psi ??

Turn down the screw in the cut off switch so it shuts down at 130psi and kicks in again at 90psi and your valve will be alright at 150psi
