Sip air mate not starting

Hi everyone, had a good search about and struggling for answers on google so I thought I’d try here, had this compressor for about a year then one day it wouldn’t start power seems to be running through it but won’t kick in needing some ideas about where to go with it next

Are you getting power at the motor,
Have you pushed the overload in just in case?

Is there pressure in the tank when you have tried to turn it on?

It’s been in storage for a while so I’ve just ignored it to be honest, no air in it at all, when u say over load u mean this little button ?

Yes if it’s tripped it will click when pressed in. May be difficult to hear it though

Yep that's the kiddie. If your confident with a volt meter you can see where the power stops and could point to a potential fault.

(You have checked the fuse in the plug etc)

Nothing at all when switched on

Oh yeh first thing I tried, not great with a multimeter but tapped onto the terminals of the pressure switch and power passing through there and power at the capacitors

Do you have the cover for the pressure switch as not sure it will switch on without it

Yeh tried it with it on as well

Could you take a different picture of the motor wiring as to me it looks like the neutral is connected to the earth wire

I’ll grab another pic tomorrow I’m sure that’s just a yellow and runs towards the motor

The overload switch might be duff. You can test the impedance, with power disconnected!

Across the 2 terminals?

With the power disconnected check the resistance between these two terminals, it should be close to 0 ohms or as close as your multimeter will get with the leads shorted

Yeh 0 ohms across them
