Hello all, this is my first post!
I'm looking for a DIY compressor for general/occasional automotive use - nothing too fancy (yet!). I won't be doing much spraying - maybe the odd touch-in or part panel. Mostly looking to use air ratchets, impact wrench, blow gun, maybe a hacksaw...
My local motor factor has offered me a SIP Cobafer RC-50 2HP direct drive compressor (SIP part no 01686) for £149 (I assume excluding VAT). Looking online there are plenty of adverts for them but no reviews. Can't seem to find any reference to them on this forum (but stand to be corrected!).
Does anyone have any experience of these? Apparently they're made in Italy which I presume is better than China?!? I expect it'll be noisy but the garage isn't joined on to the house and I've got ear defenders...
They're quoting 8 CFM but that's not FAD. Is there any chance of getting a decent paint finish with it if I do decide to do some spraying later on?
