Hi guys ... my sip ideal 303 has developed a fault today. Would anyone have any ideas.. when i push the wire feed button the wire comes out as normal.. but when i pull the trigger it dosent go at all. Have tried 2 torches an also tried a bit of wire in the euro connector with torch removed.. only the gas comes out but no wire feed.. im not sure if its wire feeder itself or a fault on a board.. another thing i did notice is if the wire is sticking out the nosel slightly an i make an eart to the table it will weld but the wire feed seems maxed out... any help would be great.. thanks

I'm a little confused, but that may be because I've no experience of the 303, but when you say "wire feed button" is that a separate button that triggers the wire feed motor? And if so, are you saying that the motor spins when you press that button?

Update: found the manual, so yes there is a separate wire feed button. That's a nice touch!Welcome to the forum

At least it means you know that the wire feed motor and machinery is working.
It's not a massively detailed circuit diagram but I'd try tracing back from the torch socket to whatever feeds that motor board.
Thanks for the reply, i wouldn't have a clue , taking it a fella tomorrow to have a look. So will show him this info. Hopefully he can track down the fault.. was working great yesterday. I took the side of but didnt know what i was looking at so put it back on lol.

Lol Before i left it down to get it looked i tried it again. Working perfectly.. hasnt missed a beat since... not sure what it was as i messed about for 3 hours an couldn't get to the bottom of it.. so hopefully it stays the way it is. Will keep you updated lol. Thanks again
