this is the motor, should I check voltage before fitting a new also am I able to service the welder or is there any known issues I should watch out for?
if you have a meter then worth checking that voltage changes when wire speed knob operated.
Servicing: Clean old grease out of gearbox and fit fresh.
New metal liner for torch. When you remove old liner, if you have compressor then blow out any dust from wire that has gone through. Now fit new liner.
With POWER OFF and machine UNPLUGED !! Clean any grills and fans, using a clean soft paint brush. Also use brush to clean pcb. Grinding dust can build up inside machine.
Have you sorted a supplier for a new motor ?
ps while you have the motor out can you measure the distance between the two mounting screws as in pic Ta and if possible the outside diameter of the motor.
