Hi folks,i have just been given an old sip wizarc welder, the problem is i don't have a clue what power it is as all it says on it is sip wizarc, does anybody have any idea how i can find out please? Thanks in advance
Could be absolutely anything I'm afraid Alan, they're available in several different flavours, 100A, 140A, 180A, 245A plus maybe others.
On top of the machine there is a clear slotted window through which you view the power level indicator, what figures are written on the scale? It might show actual amps or it might show rod sizes. Let us know what tit says or post a clear pic of it and we should be able to tell you what it is.
He's a Wizarc 100 fuff, 100A max and just two power settings. You'll be able to run 2.5mm rods max with that.
The window I was on about is usually on ones with the 'triangular' adjustmest knob on the front, a pointer moves along the scale when you turn the knob to adjust the welding current. Yours just has a high/low switch.
