Little job (yeah rite oh)
I need to reproduce this tin work, scaled up a little.
I’ve managed (by pure luck) found a piece of gas flue, thats 60.15mm. The flange is 1.6mm sheet.
I’ll have to machine arbors up to hold it while I bore the vents.
That just leaves the cone top. I cant make my mind up between machining it out of round stock, pressing it out, or rolling it, all pose their own problems, amount of work involved.
I’m leaning towards machining, I’d have to make dies to press it, and rolling would be interesting.
Any suggestions.
This is to top a very(extremely) accurate clock, selling for moon beams so needs to be perfect
