Over the past fortnight i've been re-arranging my small workshop, created a new workbench added two main shelfs then realised i didnt have as much storage space as last time.
So i took a trip to B&Q and brough some 1meter lengths of 20x15mm(3 lengths) angle and 10x10mm box tubing(4 lengths) and this little selection come to around £40 not good. Next time im going to shop around even if it means having to wait for delivery.
Had a measure and only one length of box measured to 1 meter, typical! So i ended up cutting the angle to 350mm and then cut two of the box to 480mm and one to an equal 500mm and one lenght spare which is going back when i find the recipt (off cuts come in handy for setting the welder up)
I then got bored of setting up the welder and just set about welding. The pictures attached are of the 1st couple of welds, some good some bad & the penertration and this small project fully welded up. Since these pictures were taken its had a quick sandblast and a coat of orange cellulose. Just need to cut the shelfs out of 12mm Chipboard.
Looking at it all now i've welded the angle the wrong way around, should have had the larger size for the shelf base. Too late now. . .
all comments be them good or bad are welcome
