Smoothing PU sealer

Hi there,

can I use white spirit (dip my finger in) to clean up PU sealer?

I have used upol etching primer, then zinc 182 then I'm planning of using a PU sealer followed by primer then top coat (cellulose).

Will the white spirit contaminate the primer where I'll be painting?

yeah it will probably work to smooth it

most common is spit on your finger or spirit wipe

Will spitting on your finger not create moisture around the seam, leading to rust?

And will the white spirit contaminate the primer where I'll be painting?

Use panel wipe and a paper towel

Fantastic, panel wipe - got tons of that stuff.

Didn't fancy the spit on the finger trick, would have licked my finger by mistake, only the once though!

im with langy, i think white spirit would leave a residue
