Snap-On 130/Cebora - wire tension assembly / eurotorch

Hi,

I've had one of these Ceboras knocking around for a bit, and only recently dug it out and dusted it down. Although mysteriously since I last used it, it seems to have some broken plastic bits around the screw holes where the cover is attached that secures the end of the original torch/liner. (and seems to have grown some cable ties. Maybe they were there before, maybe they got broken when I wasn't looking, I can't honestly remember)

Now as I understand it, these broken areas aren't so important if I just go the whole hog and convert it to a eurotorch?

I'm a bit cash-strapped at the minute and if a bit of 2 part epoxy and a standard wire liner will get me out of a hole, then rather than burn money on a complete wire tension assembly, then I could put the said cash towards a eurotorch conversion.

It looks like the ties are just stopping the cable from pulling through the front. Just put a washer under the bottom screw in the wire guide and fit a new liner if the torch is o.k.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have a rummage around and see if I can find some washers. In the meantime, I managed to find my Unibond quick fix epoxy putty doses and have rebuilt the broken lug. I'll see how it drills later. As I had some spare putty, I used it to beef up things round the other holes.

you could make some bracketry to hold the plastic part down a a temporary fix, but it would be better to convert it. here is my thread on the conversion. plenty kits on the bay at aound £70-80

I was studying that thread and a couple of others and from what I can see the plastic torch hose clamp which I'm bodging up becomes redundant upon conversion. Cheers.

it helps to hod the tube of the connector. The only other thing hoding is is the case.
