hi all, first thread..... well aside from the Hi thread.... not that thats relavent.

I've got a small 130, nice and light weight and does the MOT welding work i do well.

I've recently switched to .6 wire from .8 and 1mm and found it a much nicer machine to use, (the 1mm came with the mach when i bought it second hand), all my tips are 1mm

I've been used to 180 machines when working in garages and switching to the small welder was a bit of a change.

I've found the trigger a bit cheap and slightly offensive to hold.... anyone bothered switching this to a better one?

I've found the wire welds into tip a fair bit esp when upside down, i've never had this as much before, ocasionally sure. its almost imposible to weld upside down now when it never used to be a problem on the bigger machines...

is this just the small machine or the mis sized tips?

You have to use tips that match the wire size, also have you turned the feed rollers to match the wire size?

other than the upside down welding problem the wire feed is fine,
I'll try some smaller tips see if it helps.

might be worth changing the liner while your tinkering they get nacked and stop the wire feeding nicely

my wire tensioner wheel mount is a bit dodgy too, to be honest its prob best making do and getting a new machine in the future rather than chucking a load of money at this one.
