Snap on air gun help

Hi Guys,

I want to change my airline connectors from standard to pcl xf.
I am sure someone will know what thread i will need to fit my old snap on air gun ( ie are they NPT or BSP etc )

I want to change the whole fitting not just the small one thats in the adapter bye the way

If I'm reading this right, you want to remove the section that forms part of the gun itself. They typically are counterbored to allow the spring to seat inside, you can't just stick any old fitting in there.

You know that flow is affected by bore and distance - that is to say, small fittings 1" long doesn't restrict flow to the same extent as small bore pipe at 40' long.

So if I leave the 3/8" fitting and just change the 1/4" standard that goes into it to a 1/4" xf fitting, that should be ok and won't restrict the performance ?

no performance will be fine, they are designed to have / need those parts there
