snap on pro mig 160 - is there suppose to be a wire liner here?

At the moment, the wire bunches up as soon as it arcs,
there doesnt seem to be any liner comming out of the hole, but having not delt with type 15 set ups before im not sure, also if it is how do i even put one in?

One more thing is the wire when fed through the hole doesnt go over the grooves on the roller.

Is that liner end, the little brass ring in the oversized hole?
Should be able to pull the liner out (not sure how on the snap on) and check it or just replace it.

Am i right in asuming this is a conversion?
i dont think the liners the problem (although there is a red one instead of a blue) i think its because the wires not lining up on the roller, it should be going in lower on that oversised hole, im not really sure how to remedy this?

That roller doesn't look as though it pushed fully onto the spindle, might just be the angle of the picture though. On my Clarke there's no gap at the back of the roller but yours may be different.

The hole definitely looks to big for the liner or maybe the end of the liner has been broken/cut off.

The wire must line up with the feed roller and be fully supported any unsupported gap and it will more than like birds nest especially if the tension is to tight.

I took the tension off the wire, im actualy using flux core so it may have been compressing it too much, layed down quite a few beads, its just the roller problem i can seem to get to line up, that the brass opening is conected to the euro port, the thing doesnt want to budge.

as Anjum said look to see if the feed roller is on far enough on the shaft it might be held in place by a grub screw.
If it has been converted to a euro adapter it may not have be lined up correctly ?.
If that is the euro adapter tube sticking out, it should be closer to the feed roll literally touching it,perhaps the euro adapter was fitted on the skew and the tube as been cut short to try and compensate.
If so re-aliegn the adapter and fiit a new tube , you may have to cut the new tube to length don't cut to much or you will be back were you started.

As above, the end of the liner or outfeed tube should be almost touching the rollers, it should be level with the contact point of the two rollers and be in line with the groove. Commercial sets even have a chamfer on the end of the outfeed tube to allow them closer to the rolls.

How does the wire feed from the reel to the roller (infeed??)? in the Clarke there's a bit of tube leading into the roller.

There should be a hex screw in the roller.

I actualy managed to move the brass thing closer to the roller ( all i did was take the euro connector cap off, didnt do anything and it somehow managed to get back in place), im thinking the insides of the machine might have got shook about in shipping because the seller used the thing fine.

I will attempt to move the roller after work today.

I havnt actually looked at the first enterence for the wire yet, im assuming theres a liner in there and held on by the wire feed casing. if it is, i could try having a longer liner poking out at both ends.
