So my trusty old welder decided to pack in last week,no wire feed.had the pcb tested no faults,multi meter showing voltage at the motor,wouldnt run,put a 12v supply via a powerprobe across the motor it worked,strange i thought,checked motor brushes etc all connection were fine.
So i decided to strip the torch the micro switch when pressed would trigger the relay but not feed the motor,disconnected the 2 wires touched them together and hey presto everything works as it should.
So if anyone else is having the same issues try the torch first,hope this is helpfull to anyone with this type of machine
