Snap on promig 185

Good afternoon all, Ive not been in for quite a while, hope youre all well?

I picked up a Snap on 185 mig for a good price locally, unfortunately a managed to snap off (no pun intented) the wire feed knob while getting it out of the car, the metal shaft has snapped from the pot (?) ,ive tried various ways to repair it but no luck.

Can anyone point me towards an electronics buff? Theyre not my strong point.

rs do a huge range of knobs , it should be simple enough if you have a look at the back all the details are usually written on the body.
or just take a note of the numbers on the back and type it into the search engine ,

Update on this, finally got 5 mins totake the board out, i tried to glue the stub back on but did last long once the knob was back on it, the only mark on the pot is 5KV? Any guidance what this relates to?

It's a 5kΩ logarithmic pot.

This is a lineair potmeter.

I would have said linear, but the "A" says logarithmic. to my mind. I know, it seems wrong.
