I have always hated full face welding masks on my head so a mate sent me a link to a snap on mask has anyone tried one?

Yes, I've got one.
It only comes out when I really need to get into a corner where my full face mask won't fit, like upside down in a footwell welding a rollcage in for instance.
It does mist up quite often especially this weather. You wouldn't wear one all day, it's like wearing a scuba mask.

Really handy for certain jobs and I'd buy another when it dies.
As above, that's over-priced. Optrel or Miller do ones far cheaper.
I've not used the Snap-on but I'd expect either optrel or Miller to perform just as well at 1/3 of the cost...
I do like snap-on tools but all the welding stuff is rebranded and available elsewhere cheaper
