SnapOn 180 Turbo

Hi There can anyone give me info on a SnapOn 180 Turbo I have been offered one of these machines at a very cheap price and was thinking about buying it for a backup Any info regarding quaility of use etc would be a great help Thanks

As far as i know the snap on machines are cebora units, but just in a snap on case.

Yeah mate I put an ad in the local Adtrader for a Mig and after buying a Sip 130 this guy phones and says hes got a SnapOn180 with gauges for the large bottles and some other bits and bobs to go with it as hes went and bought a new welder and just wants rid of his old one.That was last night and when I phoned him back tonight he says its sold. "O'well whats for you wont go bye you" as me old mum used to say

Great quote! never heard that one before. The early Snap-On stuff was excellent (circa 1980's) & made by Lincoln/ESAB. The current stuff, in my opinion, is way over priced for the build quality... a Clarke 230TE will outperform a Snap-On for less money & a Portamig will certainly put em to shame. (again, for much less money)

Just out of interest how much IS a new snap-on 2135 anyway ?
(i dont plan on buying one, but i heard someone mention £850, and was sure it was a mistake ?)
