Soda blasting

borrowed a machine mate type blasting pot off a mate to blast some landy parts, on shot it works fine, but with soda it just clogs the feed valve instantly. Any recommendations? It will sort of work if you jiggle the pot as you're blasting, but obviously this is less than ideal

I have used this sort of thing in the past to stop stuff sticking, works on small components on gravity conveyors, powders in hoppers etc

One of the first companies with a website for soda blasters had some patented pickup,
I saw a description of it written by a bloke who designed food packing machinery, who
said it was an eductor? I gather theirs was the best soda metering system.
Look it up on google.

Folk use old electric sanders screwed to a board to make vibrating polishers you might be able to try something similar to test the principal.

Mount the pot on rubber mounts so it can vibrate more freely.

I used a tumble drier motor with a jubilee clip fastened to the shaft to throw it off balance on a media sieve I built.

I use a Machine Mart Grit blaster gun

for soda blasting, I sleeved the pick-up tube down to about 4mm to stop it turning the drive into a snow scene and sieve the soda into the hopper to remove lumps.
A dry air supply is a must otherwise the nozzle clogs up fairly quickly.
Buy soda from farm supply store to reduce costs.

Will try all the above suggestions. Will more than likely just end up using shot in the end I think, as I don't need it enough to warrant spending more money on it
