Soda blasting

Hi everybody ive got a blasting pot i used to sandblast a subframe. Now i want to convert it to soda blasting pot. I bought some soda and it did semi good job. The problem ive got it clogs up. I think its the meetering valve. There are some soda blasting converters and i was wondering if they arenecessary abd how do they work? There is an extra hose what is it for? Thanks for any explanations

I think ive got to answer it mayself...so ive surfed the net and one of the valve of the converter kit is a metering valve while the other is an exhaust valve just in case meetering valve gets clogged up but does it work?
