Soldering flux for steel

Can anyone recommend a flux for soldering steel to steel ? I know killed spirits is the gear for the job, but like everything else i cannot find it to buy over here.

Yes Ronan I use it on everything, clean all surfaces , completely cover surfaces to be soldered with flux, go very gentle with the heat or it will burn , feed in the solder and don't forget to wash off everything thoroughly when finished . Its my go to flux when steel brackets become detached on brass radiators

A nice bit of "cured" 30mmx3mm flat.

Cut , prepped and fluxed

Keep the gap tight to aid capillary

Soldered and bend test

Can you tell there`s nothing on the telly

Yup, thats why i am always either in the shed or on here !

But yes that looks the gear i am after alright, i'll buy a bit off ebay, i doubt the local plumbers merchants stock it.

yep its the best for stainless steel as well rub it in with wire wool
