some advice please

Looking at buying a compressor,but baffled with all the figures etc.I have seen a wolf 2.5hp 50ltr on ebay,and would like to know if these are any good.Would it have the capability to spray a car,and run other air tools.How much spraying time would i have before the tank empties,and the pump kicks in.

You want the biggest CFM you can afford. That is free-air delivery CFM. Here it is expressed as xx CFM @90 PSI. Then look at tank size.

I'd not want to do spraying with anything less than 3HP. I had a 3.5HP (more lies) that was running non-stop with a small HVLP gun.

Wolf supposedly went bankrupt, you would need to see if the serrler services/supports them. With that brand, probably just a box mover.

Go belt drive ,and as much CFM FAD as poss. Receiver size does not increase air delivery , so don't pay too much attention to that. Go for a recognised brand in case spares or back up are needed in the future.

Thanks peeps,but found a rangersol one on ebay im watching at the moment,3hp,and 200ltr,cfm is not known by the seller.I beleive these are also very good,and its belt driven,which i have also heard are better than direct drive.Was going to pop to machine mart at the weekend,and pick up one of those cheaper ones,airmaster with 25 ltr tank etc for around £120,but after doing a bit of homework i wont bother.

its probably a 14cfm with 3 hp motor on it
