Somerset newbie

Good evening all, young Skotl recommended this site for all aspiring welders and having a small renovation project on the go I need all the advice I can find.
Based in West Somerset and currently working on a 30 yr old self loading dumper of Italian origin, seems to have spent half its life rotting in a field.

I'll look forward to getting to know you guys a lot better over time,

I like the look of that, looks neater than the Thwaites version. Is it 4wd and being Italian what engine does it use?

It has a Lombardini engine, 4wd with diff-lock, 6-speed box, fwd & reverse.
I had to change the engine out to get it moved, but intend to rebuild the original at some point.
This was found about 5 years ago and it took about a year to get into my yard, since then it's had a low priority due to some major house renovation, but now it's time to start getting it to a usable condition.

The T H White version was always a mis match and a pig. But that’s all in my past. As late as 2007 they were still trying to peddle it.
