Midway through the afternoon I'm here. There's more done since but I haven't took any pics. It's more time consuming than you would imagine, things like remaking brackets for the arch liner takes time.

It's the same quality as the other side, that is, none. But it's strong so I'm not bothered. The inner arch steel is the thinnest I have ever come across and that's before any rust. I'm using 1.2mm and it's way thicker.
I got a bit done at the rear of the arch before I gave up . Not pretty is it

It looks bad but it's an easy repair as I'm simplifying the construction of the arches. It's only cost around £200 all in and that includes a bottle of gas, wire and steel sheet, plus the SHS in the sills. I'm retired so there's no real time cost and it keeps my hand in (at bodging)
If I scraped it I've got to find something else and I'm not seeing many cheap cars anymore plus you never know what troubles you are getting for your money. I'll keep this survivor going for a bit longer.

All the welding completed and a coat of pink primer slodge put on (it's actually a tin of 30 year old Hammerite primer I had on the shelf). I have injected all areas with Built Hamber Dynax. Just got to put in the 6mm rivnuts in lieu of the rubbish plastic fittings (other side is done) and refit the arch liner.
I shall give it a coat of more 30 year old Hammerite gloss in totally the wrong colour just to finish it off.
