Speedglas 100v auto

Am embarking on teaching no1 son to weld so he can also do a bit of fab work on the guitars, now my bucket of choice is a 9002x and was looking for a decent one for himself, looked at these speedglass 100v autos, has anyone got any info on how they stack up against the 9000 range, yes I already accept the head gear will be crap, but apart from that otherwise.

i have had one of these masks for well over a year now, i find it very nice to use and very clear in all shades! never had a problem with it and tbh i think its quite comfy on my head! (although i dont weld all day) great for hobby use or light industry!

have only ever used one of the 9000 series ones think it was a 9001 and i didnt find it much different tbh apart from the fact it has a flip front on it ahah!

I've just one of these today as my Hong Kong foo bucket cane a cropper.

Just done a few welds with it and wow what a huge difference it's undelivable how mutch better it is, there's just no comparison, well worth paying the extra.
