Speedglas adflo to Milwaukee M12 battery adapter

I've had a dead adflo battery for my mask for years, kept it because.....

Anyway, I toyed with the idea of rebuilding the battery pack. But the cells were expensive and I didn't trust the charge circuit thingy.

So, I converted it to Milwaukee M12. As I've a quick charge I'll be able to swap batteries over rather that waiting for the 3M charger to top up the one remaining proper battery.

Just bare in mind the M12 batteries have no protection for draining below the threshold that kills the lithium cells, the tools have the battery management built in.

That's an excellent point. I'm going to run one down and see if the adflo unit battery smarts notices.

If I remember correctly there are some circuit boards available for the Milwaukee batteries to do undervoltage protection. Certainly it's a fairly simple thing to implement if you did need it.

I think I'm okay. The battery indicator on the adflo unit drops consistently with the indicator on the Milwaukee tool.

I expect the adflo will also cut out at/near the same point.

It's no doubt simple, but I'm simpler, so I'd have no idea how to do this. Pre made PCB or no chance!!!!!

Oh now that’s handy, I need a new battery for my adflo. Leccy guy took my pack to re cell it, then retired and it went with him. No idea how to get in touch with him, sods law

I did similar with my Jackson air fed, first tried a makita battery with a buck converter board, but that got too hot working from 18v down to 7v,
So i changed to a boost converter board and can use any 5v usb supply, including my makita 18v to usb adaptor!
works great and was much cheaper than a new battery!
