Speedglas G5-01 VC ADF PROBLEM

So I have a brand new G5-01 VC immediately noticed bottom and top quarters of the lens has a darker band the middle of lens shows a lighter shade in dark state, I selected cool colour I have a blueish white band top and bottom and then orange white across the centre when I move my head up and down whilst welding it's changing colour and shade , I've just been sent a replacement VC filter and this is exactly same , also the colours advertised are no where near what i have , i have gold, orange/white, and pure red when I select colours , Could this be because the optical class for this lens is a 1/2/1/2 ,were as the TW version has 1/1/1/1, I've got the 9100fx XXI and the lens does not do what I'm seeing on this new G5-01

standard mate, 3M making them cheaper

I use an old 9100XX and XXi as my everyday helmets. Got a G501 sat brand new in its bag been used on half a dozen jobs hated it.

I've got multiple threads on here about the problems i had with 3M.

Stick to the older ADFs they're bomb proof, all this true colour ******** just lets too much light in. I don't want to see the colour of the steel im welding i want to see detail in the pool.

You can't beat a good old gold shade 10 glass for clarity.

What do you think to this , brand new mask I opened 3m app and clicked on usage data it already had 136 hrs logged , the supplier sent me out next day delivery another vc filter with already 114 hrs logged on it I'm absolutely certain 3m are setting back out faulty filters with new helmet etc , why is there already logged usage on brand new hardware

hey mate maybe get yourself some clues. the adf is auto on with motion senser so it logs hours bouncing around even in the delivery truck

Hey mate, if you want to be a mate, realise that on this forum we are generally polite to each other - a little gentle ribbing and the odd contre temps to one side. who goes on a forum and says theyre absolute certain 3m is sending out used equipment. be certain you know what your talking about first. g5 adf logs hours and shade activations even before it reaches the customer

my g5 and every g5 also has logged hours with shade activations. because as i said theres motion sensers. it cant recognise if its on your head in use or bouncing around in delivery trucks

unrelated question, how can I stop the shade changing itself on my g5-01 without turning the lens into a fixed shade. I just want shade 11, auto darkening, is that too complicated?
