Engineer, I've not used any of the Speedglas masks, but I do have an Optrel e680 and it's comfortable, has plenty of adjustment, a wider range of shades, a grinding mode (good for oxy work/plasma cutting too) and it's a similar price. Admittedly it's a 2" lens not a 3" as the Speedglas, and I've no experience of the after-sales service, but it's not let me down yet and I use it at work every day.
Large lens on the 9100XX seems very good indeed.............have looked at Optrel's but always used Speedglas with no problems at all, so no real reason to change.
it dont use it a that much so it's not really a problem for me just a bit annoying. apart from that i think it's great, fantastic lens with a big viewing area and side windows too.
Rright, Si Optrel is a good brand but my personal opinion is that you have better visibility with the Speedglas buckets!
I use my Speedglas 8 hours a day and would never go back to the Optrel i used before....but it's true that the Speedglas headgear is a bit crappy, it's a very commun problem...unfortunately!
