Speetog Plier Clamps

Anyone got one or two of these? Found this 'old faithful' when going through a box of old stuff in the loft. Can dimly remember using them years back, but thought I'd lost them long ago, so a nice find! You can see the ground down weld spatter where the torch has got a bit close now and then. They still grip well, so ideal for small-scale thin metal clamping. The jaws open and clamp to about one quarter inch or so, about 7mm. Overall length is about 5" or 130 mm.

Nice idea those, but 3 sets of kit I'd not be without for my VW resto are intergrips (for butt welds), clico aircraft skin pins (ideal for holding a floor panel in place under the seam) and the micro clamps in the first link (machine mart do a similar set)

Yes, nice kit there!
I have the intergrips, but made up different thicknesses of steel blades for them, as I found the originals a bit too wide when butting some thin metals.
Remember using the clico pins on restos some years back, good for holding sheet in hard-to-get-at positions, came with a clamping tool. Never tried the min-clamps, but they look good.
Frosts have some excellent stuff, but it can be expensive. That said, it lasts. My intergrips must be at least 25 years old. They do look a bit more scarred than yours!

The Aircraft skin pins come with a plier to insert them, you need to drill a 1/8th hole to insert them. They also have a pliers type skin pin too which act like a mole grips jaws.

I bought some 1/8" Clecos and pliers in a group buy on another forum a few years ago. I've only used them a couple of times but they are ideal to line up a riveted structure or panel then remove to de-burr all the holes.
