Hi All
I have a couple of car panels to replace and it would be easier to spot weld however, having read a few threads here on the subject I'm starting to have doubts;
Are spot welders any good or more trouble than worth?
It looks like HSS are the only people who hire them out round here, is their spot welder any good?
Can't tell you what it is but it states 240V (32amp - Industrial). Also, can this be run off a domestic plug socket? Cooker socket?
I could do it with mig and plugs but it'll take a while and some of the plugs could be tricky to get the panels together.
Finally, can you spot weld through primer if the surfaces are painted?
(maximum rust protection).
Many thanks
Rob
