Spotmatic welder

I just acquired a Spotmatic spot welder, unfortunately some numpty has nicked the two arms & electrodes, apparently the reason being "they is copper so is worth scrapping". The machine was supposed to have been working.
If anyone can give me a dimensioned sketch & what the bits are made off so i can turn up some new arms & electrodes i would be grateful!

Bingo! That is just what i need. Got some bodywork to do on my old Moggy pick up this summer & finding this spotwelder may well come right in handy!

they can be quite expensive, the extra arms etc for spot welders.

i have a clarke csw13t and its shocking the price they want for longer or different shape arms.

are u 100% sure it works. as you don't want to go buying arms for it then find out it doesn't work.

I have a Clarke CSW13T that came with an extra different set of arms and a PW with lots of arms but they are different diameters so not interchangeable. What diameter does the Spotmatic take?

They are 20mm machined down to 18mm where they attach to the body & hinge.

I have a Spotmatic myself and mostly use the bottom centre type in 500e's post.

I've just ordered a metre of copper bar.
I've been meaning to make a longer set of arms for ages and a job has just come up where I need them.

I'll try and drag my PW out tomorrow and measure the arms, I have some doubles. There is a mention in the handbook about a certain grade of copper for the tips, I'll look that up too but technology has come on a bit since that book was printed circa 1986!

The 25mm bar arrived, been turned & drilled, and it just remains for them to earn me some cash.

The standard arms are 20mm diameter and do flex so the longer ones being 25mm should be OK.
The downside is the weight. I'll soon have biceps like a barmaid.

About 3hrs. Like all first time/one offs jobs they seem to take an age.
The bar came from eBay (mr-metals)

Solved the weight problem by using a sky hook.

What's the betting that the next job will require 550's ?

nice.
yer they are fairly heavy the spot welders.
cant remember off hand what my one weighs.
it does have a threaded hole in it for screwing in a threaded eye.
so you can rig up a counterbalance.

yes your proberly need 550 or 600 ones
