I have sprayed cellulose on vehicles just as a hobby for many years and am now considering going over to 2k, mainly because of the higher gloss and better durability of the finish. I have a small section of my garage partitioned of with axial extractor fan, also have a Devilbiss air fed mask. Before I lay out any more of my hard earned on paint I am just wondering about points such as the drying time of 2k for collecting dust etc., cellulose touch dries very quickly, usually before anything can stick to it or runs form, what about 2k?. Also can 2k be sprayed over recently applied cellulose primer surfacer?. I have had a Binks Bullows 222 gun for many years with a 060 material nozzle and a 66S2 air nozzle, will this be suitable or would I be better getting something like a Devilbiss JGA, suction or gravity feed.?, can't do the job right without the correct tools. My spraying is only a hobby but I like to get the best finish I can on my bikes, at least as good as factory. Time isn't a problem. can anyone suggest the best place in East Yorkshire for paint supplies, I have seen a couple online that have all the goodies but would rather shop locally if possible.
Hope you guys can help, I'm sure there will be many more questions for you, I will do a search also for info.
Cheers
