spraying railings

can someone recommend me a good paint for spraying railings and is it better to use a hardener. also what ratio should you mix hardener, paint and thinners.

depends what you want to spend and will it be outside or indoors , do you have the suitable booth and breathing gear for 2 pack

mixing ratios vary with each brand /product

I'd use a brush and some outdoor gloss, most of the paint will be wasted spraying the gaps between the railings.

hamershites ok for painting tools and machinery .sprayed on is best ive got gallons of it bought cheap can be thinned with celly thinners .automotive i use 2k . metal fence paint i use manor coatings hi build plasticoat is best but its not cheap . u can coat up freshly galved metal with it as well

The link is to a spray system which uses expensive paint cartridges and if you read a few reviews on Amazon is not really very good. The cartridges don't keep so if they are old stock they don't work.

I think Hammerite is rubbish. I used to paint cast Iron gutters with it, used to be okay, nowadays it is useless. Same as Nitromors, won't take the skin off a rice pudding nowadays. I can remember when you used to put that stuff on paint, and it would be like Rice Crispies and it would smoke!

The faceless, nameless Communist scum in Brussels who now make all the rules up for our country (what's left of it) have had all the active ingredients removed. Tying everything and everyone up in knots they are.

A good way to also resist rust would be to epoxy prime and then go wet on wet with topcoat, they do oil rigs with epoxy

if spraying railings and gates and metal work is it best to keep to spray gun and compressor. or would hvlp or airless be better or are both these the same

hand painted is actualy better than spraying them the reason being the paint goes on thicker . trouble is its slower but u cant have the best of both worlds
