spraying VW camper gutters

morning chaps!
anyone got any hints n' tips on how to spray the roof gutters on a baywindow camper? the gutters themselves are kind of C shaped; not really a U; that is they go slightly over the top and thereby shield the inside.

My thinking right now is to brush them to prime and top coat then spray as usual safe in the knowledge that the finish that i can see will be fine but up inside the gutter they'll be brush marks!

tell me if i'm being a big egit in even caring about this, won't you?

I think that's the only way you could do it mate, if you spray it and just hope enough paint gets up behind it you will always be worried about it and if it didn't it won't be long before the rust spreads and you will be doing the lot again, what does it matter if there is brush marks on the inside where you can't see them?

mask off down into the part of gutter that you can see brush the parts you cant see, remove the masking and spray, you are right to be concerned about it why risk it rusting it will only spread

having cut out loads of rust of the old bus i'm determined to try and seal it off from the elements so the gutters are where it all starts. two coats of jotamastic 87 to go on over the weekend then!

You need to get something on the inside of the seam where possible - if its like my bay you'll have some corrosion right through. Paint the outside and put something like one of the dinitrol rust prevention oils on the inside to keep condensation away from it, I take it you've got the interior out?
