Hey there ,
Just curious about if and what kind of squares-jigs or also special welding tables and other equipment do you normally use to build up parts before welding , such frames or other structures , from small to bigger ones . Nowadays we need to be faster and faster and way more productive just to be competitive and stay on the market .
For example , we do not like holed welding tables like Siegmund's or Demmeler's or whatever ( even if they are great products ) , for sure they could be a good invesment if you need to make very particular parts or tons of the same part repeated , we do have welded our own tables ( 1,5x3 mtrs , 80*80*5 tube frame , approx 1 mtr height , then sent to machining and mounted a full 10 mm steel plate on them , if necessary we jave smaller tables 1,5*1,5 mtrs that we can put near a bigger one in order to create a bigger working area ) , we do prefer to stich weld parts directly on the table surface if required .
Talking about jigs , we make them ourself , when needed . It's just faster and easier as we do have all the necessary in house to build them ( plasma cnc , bending machine cnc , mill and lathe ) .
We made also some big tube squares to assemble frames and machines beds , for smaller parts we use standard squares , nothing crazy .
I was interested about Fireball Tools squares , but I think I will copy them and make some mods to the design just to fit our requirments , but I think they are pretty smart .
Hobbysts stuff like magnetic squares goes directly to the bin .
So what about you ?
Cheers
