stainless garden stuff

Hi All
Ive a few of sheets of 1.5mm stainless with a bronze pinstripe finish, that are surplus from a cladding job a few years ago.
This stuff is probably about £500 + a sheet now so I need to be doing something with it and I thought of garden planters and water tanks. What do y'all think?

the supplier has a note of it and in 3 years he hasnt found a buyer either.

Could always knock a sample out and see how it goes. People seem more inclined to spend money when they can see your actual work rather than a stock photo.

Offer custom ones. You can charge more for all the f’kin about.

Try and roll a cylinder and put a rim on. Like a upside down top hat? Mrs79 has got me making some like that

I would make them smaller so they can fit in a car for punters to pick them up, do the corners out of brass/copper and extend them down for legs to loose the wheels so it doesnt look like its come out of a modern industrial food factory?

Correct

My wife always moans that when I make stuff like that it’s too industrial looking.

Probably occurs more than you’d think. I know the wheels would put her off. All it needs is a bit of trim to hide them.

Wouldn't the planter heat up during the summer thus kill the plants? Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it though.

In that case I personally would make a bunch of window sill planters, easier for customers to collect.

theres actually very little welding in it, the ends are folded too and are bonded on with just a few tacs to help assembly and the castors are welded on so there are no bolt holes to seal, any welding is fairly easily done with a 2.5mm stainless stick.
