Hi everybody,
First post. I did some digging and couldn't find the answer I'm looking for.
I'm designing my first custom exhaust for a motorcycle. I'm using the old exhaust as somewhat of a template. It's a slipon exhaust that connects to the header.
I'm having troubles figuring out how they got a specific weld done. specifically, where a straight pipe connects to 90 degree bend midway through the bend. Picture included.
You can see where the angled mandrel bend abruptly turns into the straight. The way I see it, the straight is cut flat at the end, perpendicular to the direction it runs. The curved portion is cut at an angle, making it an oval edge.
So how do I get them to flush up?
