stainless steel rad hose

on ebay is a stainless radiator hose kit in the usa, I have never used it before is this a cover pipe or would it replace the rubber bottom and top hose , 48" approx £40 seems to be enough
any one used this before, is it cheaper to find it here

NO this is not a cover tube or dess up kit. This is a substitute for what you would normally use a preformed rubber hose for, probably comes with rubber reducers to fit several size tails, and the 4 couplers in the pic. So in effect sufficient for two hoses and the equivelant Jubilee clips. very popular when using non standard engines and non standard radiators in "hot rod cars"--you would never find a rubber hose to do the job.
I`m sure you can buy in the UK any of the normal hotrod supply lads would fix you up here in the UK.
They will be for sale at the NSRA National as well 7,8,9 Aug in Biggleswade.Several of the stalls will have them. I dont like your E bay price though, and you will almost certainly get hit with handling and duty fees on top of that..

You can also buy stainless steel braid to slip over an existing rubberhose to tidy the look of the black rubber hose up, available in all sorts of sizes.

Kits include hose adapters and is for one hose, would need to know stub diameter and length.

I would be interested in that too. The company website seems to end up on a Microsoft server page, so nothing useful to be learnt there. I have to connect a bottom hose between Scimitar radiator and 2.9i water pump. I was going to do it in multi part silicone, but these hoses could be the answer.

A Scimmy rad? Surely you'd be better off popping something bigger in there - mine was prone to overheating, even after a full strip and rebuild of engine, gearbox, well... everything really. :-)

Nothing wrong with the radiator. Overheating is due to furred up tubes and poor maintenance.

Not whilst commuting through London it's not! I spent a good bit of time cleaning the gunk out of the passageways and had the rad re-cored. Mine was an early SE5 which didn't have the greatest reputation heat-wise. :-)
