I am trying to learn to weld stainless steel with rods. I have only been welding for about a couple of months, what are some rods to weld stainless steel on?
depends on the stainless ie what grade ? I have welded 316 and 304 with Rods welding was ok but the slag is ferocious it leaps off of the weld when cooling down !
As stated above, the slag is deadly ! Make sure you wear safety glasses when working around it until it has fully cooled. If you don't then you are putting your eyes at serious risk.....
