Hi, I’d welcome any advice on the assembly location for the valve in the valve plate on a Stanley compressor?
I’ve acquired a second hand compressor and the head had been removed. there is a small rectangular valve (a simple flat piece of steel) that sits on top of the valve plate, before fitting the head gasket and cylinder head. There is a recessed slot into which the valve fits, I’m just double checking that’s where it goes and I‘m not assembling incorrectly. I cant find any specific info anywhere on line.
