Just about to purchase kit to start a small amount of blasting - mainly small items ie cast iron letters approx 25cm and some box steel letters similar size (not large areas of vehicles) - have been advised that the pressure bottle route would be best and have thought that a 10 or 20 gall tank would be OK (Machine Mart type) - have not decided on or sourced a compressor but am tracking a few on ebay (ie SIP Airmate Compressor 2HP 25L Nimbus 25025 and similar) is a ccompressor of this size going to be 'man' enough - it is supposed to produce 6.5cfm - I see that the MM tank expect 6-19cfm

any advice would be welcome before I buy the wrong stuff

Welcome to the forum.

I have one of those pressure pots and you'd be better off with a 3hp/14cfm compressor.

The 6.5 cfm may be ok for gentle bead blasting, but not grit blasting.

Also check availabilty from MM - I believe they're having delivery problems.
