So our Ukrainian friend got hold of some blueprint plans from his contact.

In Oldie times his great great grandson was a close associate of Paul Villard.
Unfortunately he was never heard from again after "borrowing" some of Villard's inventions.
He left his major project, like all good art, unfinished.
He wanted to use Villard's newly discovered electromagnetic radiation to shine propaganda and advertisements upon the moon.

Yes indeed my good man.

Being the inquisitive type I sneaked a preview at some of the propaganda files included in the package.
Some where downright disturbing but would look beautiful projected on the moon.

I mongrelised a torch to get the reflector.
There's no reference measurements on the plans he sent so I'm going to have to mix up a batch of gamma rays and experiment.

I have a glass headlight somewhere but this will do for now.

From the dossier, I received enough drawings to I calculated 7/8" rod will fit into the groove of the prismatic amplifier.

This allows precision focusing of the gamma rays.
Spectrum 9 lies on the outer cluster so I fashioned a tuning arm.

Which in turn fits into the hyper vent.

On a side note my Ukrainian is alot better.

Speaking of the bevel snatch spline screw, I managed to line it up with the carrier tube after putting the 7/8 rod on a diet.

Cut a slot and put a wear protector around it.

There's a small boss on the side of the amplifying housing.
Unfortunately the pre filter I made for the housing is a tad too big

I got the amplifier housing off some shady dude in Kharkiv.
Didn't check his measurements so some hacking will be in order to get the pre filter to fit.
The sectional digression brackets Mark 2 mentioned may get in the way, but I'll sort that out at a later stage.

Shorten the filter arm to align up and now I will swing it in from the side.

This filter (with the protective paper) allows geometrical orientation of the oscillation in a transverse wave,

The direction of the oscillation is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the wave so basically it will all line up.

I marked out key indentations in the focus ring.

I now must install the convex lenes in the carrier tube.
