They'd have only gone in the bin. Now I can store more stuff that probably should have gone in the bin!

I did debate doing them on their side. Only really done it that way for an ad hoc oil change pan.

Think I like your way better. Especially the space for writing on it.

I guess if you have a single reel in one of those containers, you could poke the material through a hole in the lid and have a nice dispenser.

Funnily enough, I have an excellent range of a certain Scottish ice cream company’s containers I use for storage.

Funnily enough, I have an excellent range of a certain Scottish ice cream company’s containers I use for storage.

Can confirm, Very handy tubs with decent lids.

Of course the only reason i buy them.

Hmmm.....having a quantity of empty 20L hydraulic oil containers.....

A couple of minutes works on each with the multitool: one for hammers and bolsters, another for saws. One for clamps, one for the resin kit etc. Even one to keep all the Geberit cistern bits together. Dead easy to move 'cos of the handle and they stack.

I have a solution , Just eat them inside the cave then you won't be able to get out

Our bathroom bin is a 25L with the top cut off. Someone said it was good to see recycling and I pointed out I was ahead of that given I had reduced waste/pollution by buying 25L and then I had reused the container so I was two steps in front of recycling.

Loving this thread, great ideas for re-using these containers, I'll be getting creative with the many 25l drums I have!

SWMBO likes posh instant coffee, makes not much difference to me but they all come in tins with a plastic cap. I have loads of them full of little bits and pieces in the shed.
