I recently withdrew a little Compton compressor from sale as I found a use for it. Connecting it up doesn’t seem to be as easy as it should be. Yes, I could machine fittings, but quite honestly,I am inundated with work and my time would be better spent doing other things.
So, it’s got a male 3/4 x 16 unf male thread. Same thread as AN8 fittings or 3/4” JIC fittings. But… here is where the problem begins. Both AN8 and JIC male threads have a 37 degree male taper on the end. This has a male thread but a female taper going into a roughly measured 7/16” hole. Any ideas what this type of fitting is called and where I can find the mating part?

Pity you didn’t read the first part where I said I haven’t the time to start modifying things,I want an off the shelf solution. Pity you didn’t read the bit where I said the one thread has a nut on it suggesting the fitting is screwed in from the other side. It was supplied like that. The fittings must be available.
Had hoped that carbuilder solutions might stock them as they are literally five minutes away. Bit too big for them. Will try Culverwells, chances they will have them
