Good point, that white peg looks like it would be lifted with a trim tool, the slot in the trim purely to fit and locate the peg.Do the white 'pegs' come out? Might be a case of getting a lever under the head rather than trying to slide.
I'll try thatDo the white 'pegs' come out? Might be a case of getting a lever under the head rather than trying to slide.
Warm day or heated garage. Dream onbe better done on a warm day , or in a heated garage to soften the plastic clips ,,, some of those clips can be a pita.
I've got thoseThey are not designed to come out without damage, cheap plastic, ok when new for fitting then they hope you break one part at least on removal. (you have)
You need the removal fork thingy
run the car with the heater on full and the doors closed for fifteen mins and strike while the plastic hot , as the saying goes ,,, failing that break a few clips and order a big bag of them for putting it back together ,, at least its not the old days when the door cards fell apart and the clips survived ,,,Warm day or heated garage. Dream on
Yes, they are a PITA!
Yay... Even more clips than I had imagined!
The damage suggests incompetence, actually. I hate jobs like this.If you have the tool are you levering the correct bit ? the damage suggests you tried to lever the plastic trim off the clip rather than the clip from the body.
Is the tool's fork to wide and slipped or maybe you did not have it between the body and the base of the clip
This is correct. You need a wide bladed lever to pop them off.Good point, that white peg looks like it would be lifted with a trim tool, the slot in the trim purely to fit and locate the peg.
