Did you buy it as a non-runner?
Have you gone through the troubleshooting section in the user manual?

Guess we talking about this component which takes from 240 to 12v
In the back there are two large spot weld and two small one
Which one should have the 12v?

Thanks for looking into it.Trying to find a pin for pin replacement transformer might end up being a real pain. Marini don't list the 2.8VA range, only 2.5VA or 2.3VA. You'll probably get away with using the 2.5VA part. eBay is a right pain, and the transformers there seem quite expensive.
You might be better off getting something like this, screwing it to the case, and running wires from the transformer to the circuit board, after removing the original transformer.
Or this might fit. The image shows a 9V rated transformer, but the main spec in the listing says 12V output:
It's possible to test to see if the wirefeed motor, gas solenoid, and contactor operate when the trigger is pressed, but it's not possible to weld without wire in the gun, since it is the welding wire that carries the current in a MIG machine, and the earth clamp completes the circuit.
Not if there is no 12V from the transformer, because the transformer supplies the current to power the contactor and the wire feed motor. However, the contactor may have a visible plastic "button", which can be manually pressed in to send power to the main transformer, provided the transformer and rectifier are both working. If you try this, the wire feed motor won't work, and because the wire isn't moving through the torch tip, it'll tend to become welded to the tip.I put the wire in the gun and it's long enough to touch metal. If I complete the circuit with the earth clamp and touch the metal pressing the trigger it should weld for a second correct?
Sounds like I'll will have to replace transformer first. Not if there is no 12V from the transformer, because the transformer supplies the current to power the contactor and the wire feed motor.
