Hello all.
I have acquired a chain block and tackle and am wondering whether to use it or just sell it on.
I was wondering about building two a frames with a bar between so I can use it to lift engines out and tip shells up to work underneath. Problem is i don't have a lot of room so I was thinking about building a frame with an arm that swings out in a semi circle with a sliding mount for the block and tackle so I could lift out an engine and swing it over to the bench.
It's only a prefab garage so the walls aren't strong enough to mount it to so it would have to support its own weight.
Can anyone suggest any designs or shall I ditch it and get an engine hoist?
Cheers
