T Piece needed for Air Compressor

Does anyone know where i could get one of these from?

As the person i bought the compressor from had broken it and tried to block the hole with a large bolt but only made it worse.
Also how do you remove it from the tank as i have loosened the main nut at the bottom but when i try and turn it further it gets really tight.

Undo the nut below the pressure switch and lift it off then undo the nut below the regulator block and remove that then throw it in the bin. Now screw the pressure switch into the hole where the regulator came from. Undo the plug in the end of the tank and fit a PCL fitting in there and use that with a remote regulator.

The broken outlet on the left I assume. The bottom nut is an adaptor and when it loosens from the tank it tightens to the regulator. You need to undo the top first and remove the pressure switch then spin the regulator out.

Also notice that the thin pipe that should connect between the non-return valve and the pressure switch is missing - have you removed this? if not then you'll need to replace it.

I just used what I had to hand, but you would need to get a filter reg if you got that in 3/8", you would also need two t-piece and 3 nipples and maybe a couple of 3/8 to 1/4 reducers and 1/2 to 3/8 reducer for the receiver.

I did the same on my older compressor. Those cast manifolds are crap.

I used three tees, a bunch of close nipples, some reducers and two 6" pipes. Here's a pic before the manifold cracked and was replaced with more Tee's:



You can add ball valves, and any custom stuff you want.

I see you have one airline before all the water traps.

Do you use that for general air tools and the water trap one for spraying?

That is a water trap, regulator and oiler (you can see the oil in the left canister).

The top line runs over to the front of the garage where there is another filter and regulator and a 50' hose reel. I used that one for general use and spraying. The one on the compressor is for air tools.

yes use only a water filter, a lubricator will contaminate the paint. also dont mount the filter to close to the compressor as they can heat up then stop filtering so well
