I realise that the HT series is essentially entry level, but what are the basic technical differences between these 2 series of machines? I assume the T series have more 'features', but what do you NOT get with the equivalent HT?
There is a overlap between the HandyTig and the T series.
A T Basic has less features than a HT Control Pro, but a HT does not have as many features as a T Control Pro.
However even the most basic Lorch ACDC units still allow,
Pulse, AC Freq and AC Balance adjust. (Which is not the case on some people's Basic/Entry level machines)
A HT 180 ACDC Control Pro has the above features but it also has 2 x Job/Memory positions.
The HT/T can be dropped from 60cm onto concrete floor.
The HT 180 does not have a Lorch NET fitting installed and as such couldn't be used to control a Lorch WUK 6 Cooler or be used with Lorch Automation. (I don't think this would be a problem for you) you can still use a cooler even a Lorch one but it just means that you have turn the cooler on and off manually and not rely on the machine to turn it on/off on demand
Thanks for the reply Matt, I hoped you'd chime in here.
Realistically, I don't see myself needing any additional cooling. My usage will be sporadic and mostly small jobs.
Is there a table available that lists the specific features of each variant for easy comparison?
Size/capacity is of course down to what I need to do. I'm thinking that I want to be able to tackle 1/4" material, i.e. (stainless) steel and aluminium. Is a 180 sufficient for that? What about when using pulse?
