Tandem compressor wiring

Just picked up a new to me tandem compressor with twin 3hp motors, the previous owner had wired it with 2x 13 amp plugs.
I’m putting it onto a 32amp supply that I have in my garage already, the control box (are they called DOL) ? Doesn’t have a on off switch so I’m after some advice as to best way to connect it, should I put something like say a cooker switch type before it? Few photos attached.

Looks to me like there is a time delay contactor to switch on one motor after the other.
Normally you switch them on and off via the little orange switch on top of the pressure switch (in your 4th picture) as this will unload the pressure. I'd assume this should be triggering the contactor.

looks like someone has cut the live and neutral singles from the second plug (first picture). I assume they were using two plugs to get enough current to run that from 13a sockets.

Be very careful with that setup. If you reconnect the wiring and plug one plug in, the other plug will become live. That's very dangerous.

Do you mean you have a 32a socket or do you plan on using 2x13a sockets on a 32a circuit?

If you are using 2x13a plugs then the 2nd plug needs its own contactor to properly isolate it from the 1st plug for the reasons in the post above.

If it was mine I would probably switch the the first motor and time delay with the pressure switch and the 2nd motor throuh the contactor from time delay, depending how the 2nd motor unloader works.
